Chitti Motors Service Policies

1. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placement without incurring any cancellation fees. Cancellations made after 24 hours but before the order is dispatched will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the order value. Once the order is shipped or out for delivery, cancellations will not be accepted.

2. Return Policy

At Chitti Motors, We do not accept returns once a product has been delivered. All sales are final. If you receive a damaged or defective product, please refer to our Warranty Policy for guidance on how to proceed with a claim.

3. Refund Policy

In case of order cancellation, the cancellation fee will be borne by the customer. Refunds will be processed to the original source account used during the purchase. Once the refund has been initiated by us, it may take between 7 to 15 business days to reflect in your account, depending on the guidelines set by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

Cancellation Fees:

  • Within 24 hours of placing your order: No cancellation fee, provided the order has not been processed for dispatch.
  • If the order is shipped or out for delivery: A 25% cancellation fee of the total order value will apply.

4. Shipping Policy

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address at the time of placing your order. If a non-delivery occurs due to incorrect details (e.g., wrong name, address, or other incomplete/incorrect information) or non-availability of the recipient, any additional costs incurred for re-delivery will be borne by you.

While we partner with trusted delivery service providers, the Company is not responsible for damages, delays, or losses caused by third-party mishandling during transit. If the Company is unable to deliver your order due to unforeseen circumstances, a refund will be processed through the same payment method or credited as a deposit to your account within 90 business days.

A valid phone number and email address are required when placing an order. By providing this information, you consent to receiving updates via phone calls, SMS, or email regarding order confirmation, shipping status, and delivery. Promotional communications may also be sent unless expressly opted out by you.

Orders are shipped within 30 days from the date of the order and/or payment or as per the delivery date agreed at the time of order confirmation and delivering of the shipment, subject to courier company / post office norms. Delivery timelines may vary depending on your location and order specifics. Estimated delivery times will be communicated during the order process. Shipping charges, if applicable, will be mentioned clearly at checkout.

Upon receiving your order, inspect the package for damage before signing the delivery receipt. If there is visible damage or tampering, please refuse the delivery and notify us immediately. In case of any delays in shipping due to unforeseen circumstances, the Company will make every effort to inform you promptly. However, the Company will not be liable for delays beyond its reasonable control. For international shipments or specific delivery zones, additional charges such as customs duties or taxes may apply, which are the sole responsibility of the customer.

5. Warranty Policy

Our products come with a limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. The warranty period and specific terms are specified in the product description and manual. The following situations or activities are not covered under the warranty:

  1. Improper Usage:
    • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, or unauthorized modifications. Failure to adhere to usage guidelines outlined in the product manual.
  2. Wear and Tear:
    • Normal wear and tear of components such as tires, brake pads, and lights. Damage resulting from exposure to extreme weather conditions, corrosion, or physical impact.
  3. Unapproved Repairs:
    • Repairs or alterations performed by unauthorized personnel or service centers.
  4. External Damage:
    • Cosmetic damage, dents, or scratches that do not affect the product’s functionality.
  5. Battery-Specific Exclusions:
    • Improper use of the battery. Use of incompatible chargers not approved by Chitti Motors.

If shipping the product for a warranty inspection is required, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs unless the issue arises due to a manufacturing defect or error on our part. We recommend using insured and trackable shipping methods for returning products, as we are not liable for items lost in transit. Warranty claims must include a valid proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue. Claims will undergo a thorough inspection by our technical team, and decisions will be communicated promptly.
